Cheapest cell phone plans come in different types. Since each and every one of us has a unique set of needs, jumping into the consumer bandwagon would be very unwise. Though prepaid phone plans are the more popular choice for its practicality, choosing this would still not ensure that you made the right choice. Why? Because you should first carefully consider how its advantages could be the perfect answer to your needs and fit your lifestyle. You should also analyze how the disadvantages could affect you. And only after some time taking considerations could you then make a better choice than if you rush things.
But if you are the type who does not have a consistent budget on usage and frequency, the most flexible and cheapest cell phone plans to avail of would be prepaid. With one, you would just have to pay or buy credits if already low on minutes. This type does not need any contracts to be signed and requires no credit check. This means that just anybody could enroll, no matter what the age; and you do not submit yourself to any long term lock-in periods.
On the traditional or postpaid side, the cheapest cell phone plans are not as easy to acquire as that of its counterpart. Credit standing is checked to make sure that the subscriber is capable of paying the advance monthly fees. To maximize and get the full value of the advance payments, the plan holder should make use of the minutes that have been paid for. If the cell phone user exceeds call limit, the extra time will be added as extra fee. These plans are likely to be ideal with professionals and other users whose lifestyle does not afford them to run a zero balance.
Cheapest cell phone plans can also come in packages that the whole family can enjoy. Cell phone family plans offer a good discount when any subscriber to the plan contacts the rest of the group.  This can also be used by small businesses in keeping the line of communication open for better management. Plans ideal for travelers are also available and get the subscriber to enjoy low-rated to even free long distance calls. For people who are out of the country most of the time, there are plans that offer no roaming charge.

Prepaid Cell Phones: Pay As You Go Mobile Plans
If you don't use your mobile phone too often and you're confident you can accurately estimate your cellphone usage in any given month, then a prepaid cell phone may be the way to go. These are often referred to as "Pay As You Go" mobile plans because you only pay for the amount you intend to use it. You must continually "refill" these accounts.
The advantages are that you usually aren't locked into any kind of contract and for straight talk time they provide among the best deals possible. The disadvantages, however, are that they're usually not the best plans if require significant texting, web browsing or media capabilities (sending pictures). Additionally, if you go over your estimated time, it can become expensive pretty quickly.
Mobile Phone Family Plans and Group Plans
No matter your situation, you must take advantage of the deals offered to various groups. Sometimes these deals will be advertised strictly as family plans rather than friends and family plans, but they usually work the same anyways.

Cheapest Cell Phone Plans

Cheapest cell phone plans:
Here's my story and how I got the cheapest cell phone plans. You can use my story to save yourself money every month.
Never, ever accept the first offer. When your phone carrier gives you they're first offer it's only a test to them. It was created to get you off the phone as fast as they can so they can get a bonus. Not at all to help you with the cheapest cell phone plans. (Don't fault them - remember, this is a script!) It's going to be weak. With this case, I had told them I was talking to them because I can't pay the monthly bills any more and the regular rate they gave me won't work, and the rate increase they sent me. The Manager went back to the original six months of the regular rate... I told him that wouldn't work. (I was looking for the cheapest cell phone plans I could find.)
(Be polite!) I told him, "Ah, I do appreciate your fixing that, but your offer is not going to work for me. (I'm thinking I'm working on the cheapest cell phone plans) I need something better for a lower price and long term."Remember, Keep it short and simple.
So waiting there for 5 minutes or more on hold (sometimes, at this point, they will pull in a supervisor,)planning my next move to get the cheapest cell phone plans I could get out of him, He popped back on the line with a better deal. So he told me, "You're only using 101 minutes every month. I have the cheapest cell phone plans and my manager gave me permission to do the deal. Remember: His words are a cue that the cheapest cell phone plans are about to be offered you. We have a plan for $9.99/month for 100 minutes a month. Cut your calls down by one every 30 days or shorten up a call or two...and now you're at an affordable plan. Incoming and forwarded calls are free! And you should use your friends and family option....They are free and I'm thinking now this is getting to be the cheapest cell phone plans I've ever had. So I said that'll work!
Ok, you just got the cheapest cell phone plans... Were not done yet!
Ok, the rate is good and I haven't seen this on the internet so I knew this was a "retention plan" - a cost-plan created for keeping people happy and staying with the company so now you get into the field of unadvertised contracts and now you've found one of their cheapest cell phone plans. So the next thing to do is ask him for another perk. This is the time to ask for more minutes, text messages, or other features you are in need of. They'll do it! In my situation I didn't really need anything more, I told him "You're doing an awesome job and I'm happy. Let's get it done. But first, How about we seal this deal with 3 months free?" Yes, Ask for 3...
The Rep will most likely laugh a bit at this comment. At this point they realized them dealing with a pro at negotiating. The cheapest cell phone plans are my only thoughts! Oh, this is an awesome situation to be in. What you're doing here is creating a relationship with them. If the rep bocks at the comment just tell them "do this one last thing for me and that'll do it?"
Back 1 minute later he offered me 1 month free. So I replied, Awesome! You are the man! You are the best!
Don't forget the gratitude!
Everyone likes gratitude even you and I. A pat on the back will always take you far and look at what just happened within 20 minutes, I got the cheapest cell phone plans I have ever had. After I negotiated the cheapest cell phone plans the company sent me an email with the changes and now my plan will drop $9.99 per month with 100 minutes and 1 month free. So here's the best part.... It only took 13 minutes and "Shazam" I'm saving money!
So did I do good or what? The cheapest cell phone plans and over the course of a year I'll save $9 every month and with the free month service that's a savings of around $130 a year. That's all it took was the 13 minutes on the phone this morning, it comes out to $132 an hour. Just think what you'll do tomorrow morning with your other services you use and pay for every month.
